Curios and Relics...
My name is Chris, welcome to my new website and new hobby. As time goes on I will be adding more content and features.
I get a kick looking through old firearm catalogs and ads. They contain useful information for collectors and help sort out a what can be a confusing array of models and configurations available. What's even better is the stories they tell. Through the years, none told their story better than Colt, which I believe contributed to their mystique and success.
May I suggest beginning with "The Colt Revolver", then the catalog "The Arm of the Law and Order" from 1926. Relics from these catalogs will be presented as I add them. Soon I will add similar catalogs from Smith and Wesson.
We are fortunate that firearm catalogs have been well preseved by collectors. I have tried to present representative catalogs of historical interest from various time periods, with an empasis on middle 20th century pistols. Each section is divided by manufacturer. Over time, additional catalogs and maker's will be added.
Curios and relics? Actually, I think not. Aside from beauty, these firearms represent enduring and timeless quality and design.
Enjoy!
